 Increase your efficiency when processing credit card payments
Replace your manual PDQ machine with an integrated system for credit card authorisation with the option of being able to batch collect payments for subscriptions or orders via the same mechanism.
Increasingly, credit cards are becoming more and more prominent within most membership and charity based organisations having a minimum of an electronic PDQ machine to facilitate credit card collection.
This machine can obviously be used in conjunction with Enterprise in the same manner as it is currently used with any existing membership system. However, this inevitably involves doing the processing twice - once through the PDQ terminal and once to update the record within the membership or donor database.
Greater time saving benefits can be obtained by switching to use the EnterpriseMRM online credit card module. Using this interface, credit card numbers and expiry dates are entered directly into the software and authorisation is obtained immediately. From this one entry, a subscription can be renewed, a receipt printed and the transaction can update your Sage or Pegasus accounting system thus removing the chance for transposition errors from entering into three different systems.
Authorisation by Dial-up via Modem
There are two possible products available to facilitate Online Credit Card processing via Enterprise. The first uses a standard analogue modem that dials up in order to obtain authorisation and this modem is also used for the submission procedure carried out at the end of each day.
By using this method, Enterprise performs exactly the same capability as your existing PDQ terminal albeit integrated directly into the software.
Authorisation via the Internet (ICP)
The second mechanism for credit card processing uses a permanent internet connection (ADSL or leased line) for authorisation and end of day routines.
In addition to the usual PDQ 'on demand' entry of credit card details, the ICP version allows for batch processing. So for subscriptions that are to be paid continuously by credit card all due payments can be collected without the need to enter each time the credit card details and amounts.
